Socks and DPNs

My main knitting resolution this year (aside from FINALLY finishing my Ravenclaw scarf) was to get over my fear of DPNs and to learn to knit socks.

Well I finally started knitting a sock on size 2 Clover Bamboo DPNs. I’m using the 4 needle method, cause after several attempts on the 5 needle method, I gave up. Using 4 is just easier for me. Less awkward holding 4 than 5, even though it’s still a bit weird to get used to.

Anyway, I messed up a bit on the first row of K1 P1 ribbing. I’ve never ribbed before, and I missed the part where you have to continue to move the working yarn back and forth…lol, so there is a teeny hole in the first row, but I’m leaving it alone, cause this is my practice sock and I just want to complete it so I can knit a pair of wearable socks.
